Sarovar Hotels & Resorts

You can find us at 86/676 in the G.H.B. area of Khokhara. Ahmedabad is a big city, but Khokhara feels like its own little world sometimes. Sarovar Hotels & Resorts is run out of this location, which is basically a housing board setup. It’s not what people expect when they hear the name, but it’s where we are and it works for us. We don’t have a shiny lobby with marble floors here. Instead, we have a small space where we manage the various things we have going on. Most of our neighbors are families who have lived here for years, so it’s a very grounded place to be. We spend a lot of time on the computer or talking to staff at different locations. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure schedules are kept. The building is older, so we are always fixing something or painting a wall to keep it looking decent. We don’t go in for big speeches about what we do. We just make sure the rooms are ready and the guests are looked after elsewhere. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. Sometimes the noise from the street gets a bit loud, but you get used to it after a while. We just like the fact that we’re working in a real neighborhood where people actually live and talk to each other every day.
