Sandhya Holidays

I’ve been sitting here at Sandhya Holidays for quite some time now. Our office is up on the first floor of the Ajanta Commercials Center. If you know the area near the Income Tax office, you know how busy it gets around here. There is always someone honking outside. It isn't a huge place, just a few desks and some old files. We spend most of our mornings drinking tea and checking the latest travel routes for people who walk in. Most of the folks who come to see us are locals from around Ahmedabad who just want to get away for a few days. We don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us who know how the booking systems work. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, and the paint is peeling a little in the corner, but it works for us. We started doing this because we liked the idea of helping neighbors see a bit more of the world. It’s a lot of phone calls and writing down names on scraps of paper before we type them in. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we just sit and talk while we wait for the screen to load. It is a simple way to spend the day. We’ve been in this building for years and know most of the other shop owners nearby. It’s just how things are here in this part of town.
