Our office is tucked away in Vejalpur, Ahmedabad. We are in Block No. 35-1103 within Shrikrushna Dham-2. It is a big complex and it can be a little confusing for people visiting for the first time because of all the similar buildings. We spend most of our hours here surrounded by paperwork and the sound of phones. The area is quite built up now compared to how it used to be. When we first started coming here, it felt a bit more open, but now there are buildings everywhere you look. We have a lot of stuff moving in and out, which is the nature of what we do. The desks are usually covered in manifests and delivery notes. It is a practical space, not meant for showing off to anyone. The light in the afternoon hits the windows in a way that makes it quite warm, so we keep the blinds down mostly. There is a small space in the corner where we keep our tea kettle and some biscuits for breaks. Vejalpur is a busy part of Ahmedabad and we are right in the thick of it. Sometimes the delivery vans have a hard time finding a spot to park near our block. We just make it work day by day as things come up. It is a lot of coordination and making sure things are where they need to be. We don't have much decoration on the walls.
