Our office is over at Sargam Apartments in Jodhpur, right across from Chandan Farm. It’s a busy little corner of Satellite. We’ve been working on buildings and infrastructure projects for quite some time. It's mostly just paperwork and meetings here in the apartment unit, while the real work happens out at the sites. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and talking to contractors on the phone. The office is a bit cramped with all the files and maps we have lying around, but we manage. You can usually find a few of us here by 9 am drinking tea and going over the day's schedule. It’s not a fancy corporate headquarters, just a place where we get the planning done. We handle things like roads and basic structures. Sometimes the traffic outside near the farm gets pretty bad, so we’ve learned to plan our site visits around that. People know us in the neighborhood as the guys who deal with the heavy lifting. We don’t use a lot of big words or complicated charts. We just look at what needs to be built and figure out how to do it without making a mess of things. It's been our base for years, and we've grown attached to the spot despite the noise from the main road. We keep a stack of hard hats by the door and there’s always a dusty pair of boots somewhere in the corner. It’s not about looking pretty, it’s just about getting the concrete poured and the beams set right.
