It’s just us here at Radha Krishna Hospitality Services over in the B/8, Nirav Choksi Apartment building. If you know the Hirabag Crossing in Ambavadi, you’ve probably walked right past our door. Ahmedabad-06 is where we have been for a while now. Things get pretty busy during the week with all the phone calls and keeping track of everyone’s schedules. We mostly handle things ourselves, and sometimes the office gets a bit messy with paperwork piled up on the desks. We didn't start this with some big plan, just needed to do something useful in the neighborhood. Some days the traffic at the crossing is loud enough to hear inside, but you get used to it after a few months. We keep the kettle going for tea mostly. My cousin helps out when things get really hectic, especially when we have several orders coming in at once. It’s not a fancy setup with glass walls or anything like that. Just a few rooms and some old chairs where we sit to figure out the day’s work. Most of our neighbors know us by name by now. We try to keep things moving along without making too much of a fuss. The humidity in Ahmedabad can be tough in the summer, so we usually have the old fan running. It’s a simple way to spend the day, really. Nothing too complicated, just making sure everything gets where it needs to go on time.
