Pooja Parlour Fast Food Centre

Located at B-8 in the District Shopping Centre of Sector 21, our fast food centre is a place where a lot of local folks end up after they’ve finished their errands. It’s a pretty standard setup, nothing you’d see in a magazine, but it works for us. We’ve got the usual stools and the counters where people stand and eat their snacks while chatting. The shopping centre is always a bit noisy, and since we are right in the middle of it, we hear everything from the neighboring shops. We spend our mornings getting the batters ready and chopping onions, preparing for the crowd that starts arriving around lunchtime. It’s mostly just a few of us behind the counter, trying to keep the oil at the right temperature and the plates moving. We aren't trying to be a five-star place; we just want to make sure the food is hot and served fast. Sometimes the fridge makes a weird humming sound, and we have to remind ourselves to fix the latch on the back door. It’s those small things that remind you it’s a family-run kind of thing. We see the same faces every week, people who live nearby in the sector and just want a quick bite that doesn’t cost too much. It’s a simple way to make a living, just being part of the daily routine in the District Shopping Centre and keeping the stove hot until the sun goes down.
