Our location is at 2525/3, Khjuri Pole in the Baluchavad area of Kalupur. Being in the old city of Ahmedabad is quite an experience. The lanes are very narrow here, and it’s always crowded with people and scooters. We aren’t in one of those big new shopping malls. We are right in the heart of the traditional pole area. The kitchen gets really hot, especially during the summer months in Gujarat. We spend most of our shift getting the ovens ready and making sure the ingredients are fresh. It’s a noisy place because the sound of the street comes right inside. Sometimes it’s hard to hear the phone over the traffic outside. The building itself is old, like everything else in Kalupur, and it has that specific character you only find in this part of town. We don't have a big fancy dining area with lots of decor. It’s more about getting the food out to the people who live and work around here. The address 380001 tells you how central we are. We see all kinds of people every day, from students to workers in the local markets. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the orders when it gets busy in the evenings. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep things moving. It’s just a normal day for us in the old city.
