Pastamania

We are located at B-23 in the Umiya Complex, which is near the Bhutbhavani Temple in Vejalpur. This is where we run Pastamania. It is a bit of a local spot here in Ahmedabad. We spend most of our time in the kitchen boiling water and mixing sauces. The space is not huge, so when it gets busy, it can feel a little cramped. We have got the usual setup with some tables and a counter where people order. Being near the temple means we see a lot of people passing by every day. We do not really do anything too complicated with the food; we just make pasta and try to keep the place clean. Sometimes we run out of a certain ingredient and have to run out to the local market to get more. The staff is just a few of us who have been working together for a while. We do not have a big corporate office or anything like that. It is just us in the Umiya Complex. The kitchen gets pretty hot in the summer, but we have got a couple of fans going to help out. We are not trying to be fancy; we just want to serve some food and get through the day. Most of our regulars live around Vejalpur and just stop in because they know we are here. It is a simple business and we like it that way. We just keep doing what we do every day.
