Parshwanath Tavel

We have been running Parshwanath Tavel for a good number of years now right here in Memnagar. It’s a simple travel agency setup where we mostly handle bus bookings and some train tickets for people in the neighborhood. The name on the sign says travel agency but we often just go by the shorter name on our paperwork. It is not a very big office, just a small space with a couple of desks and some old chairs for when people have to wait. We start our day early, usually around nine, and the first thing we do is dust off the computers and check the latest schedules. Memnagar is a busy spot so there is always someone walking by or popping in to ask about a price to a nearby city. We don't have any fancy brochures or big television screens showing holiday spots. It is mostly just us talking to customers and trying to find a seat on a bus that isn't already full. Sometimes the printer gives us trouble and we have to fix it while someone is waiting for their ticket. My nephew helps out in the afternoons when the rush starts. We know most of the regular travelers by their first names. It’s a decent way to earn a living and we like being part of the local community. We don't make a big fuss about things, we just do the work and go home for the day.
