Orbitz Corporate & Leisure Travel

Our office for Orbitz Corporate & Leisure Travel is right behind the Gurudawara in Thaltej, just off the S.G. Highway. It’s a good spot because people can find us easily, even if the traffic on the highway is a nightmare most days. Being at D-82 Westend Park means we are tucked back a little from the main noise. I spend most of my time on the computer, looking for flights or trying to fix a booking that went wrong. Travel is a messy business sometimes. People want to go to Europe or maybe just a quick trip to Mumbai, and they come to us to handle the details. We have a lot of maps and brochures lying around, though most stuff is online now. The office is small and we often have papers piled up on the desks. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake during the long shifts. It is interesting to hear where people want to go. Some families come in all excited about a holiday, while the corporate guys just want the cheapest seat that gets them there on time. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It's just a few desks and some chairs for guests. We’ve been here in Ahmedabad for a while. Sometimes it gets stressful when a flight is cancelled, but we just pick up the phone and try to sort it out. It's real work for real people.
