Om Logistics Ltd

We are located right near the New Railway Colony in Kurukshetra, at 131/B. Being a logistics company, our yard is usually full of trucks and there is always someone loading or unloading some kind of freight. The sound of the trains passing by on the tracks is something you just get used to after working here for a couple of days. It is a dusty job, especially when the wind picks up across the Haryana plains. We have a small office building where we keep track of where all the drivers are and what needs to be moved next on the schedule. There is always a pot of tea going in the back because the drivers often come in feeling tired and need a quick break. The winters here in this part of the country get really cold, so we spend a lot of time huddled near the small electric heaters. In the summer, it is the opposite and we just try to find some shade under the awning. It is not a glamorous business at all. There is grease, heavy lifting, and a lot of shouting to be heard over the engine noises. We use a lot of paper logbooks and the phone never really stops ringing with people asking where their shipment has reached. Sometimes a truck breaks down on the highway and it throws the whole day off, which is a real headache for us. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the wheels turning.
