Oberoi Hotels And Resorts

Working as part of the housekeeping team for the Oberoi on MG Road in Bangalore is a lot of work. We are based at the Executive Housekeeper's office right at 37 MG Road. If you know Bangalore, you know how much traffic there is on this road. It’s the heart of the city and it never seems to stop. Our day starts early, and there is always a huge list of rooms and public areas that need attention. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is what keeps the hotel running smoothly. We spend our time checking on linens, supplies, and making sure the staff has everything they need. It can be quite tiring, and by the end of the shift, our feet are usually aching. The office itself is always full of papers, schedules, and lost and found items. We don't have time for fancy corporate talk; we just need to know if the rooms are clean and if the guests have what they need. MG Road is always noisy, but once you are inside the hotel grounds, it feels a bit different. We try to stay organized, but sometimes when the hotel is full, everything feels a bit like a scramble. We’ve been doing this for a long time and we know every corner of the building. It’s a lot of responsibility to manage the cleaning, but we just take it one room at a time.
