Mohan Purohit Caterers is located at A3/3 in Shanti Appartment. If you are near the Davashish School in Bodakdev, you are pretty close to where we are. We have been in this apartment complex for years and most of our neighbors know the smell of our cooking by now. It’s a family thing mostly. We get together in the kitchen and start the preparations for whatever order came in. The school kids walk by in the afternoons and sometimes the noise is a bit much but it’s a good area. We don't have a big staff with uniforms. It’s just us and a few helpers who have been with us for a long time. We handle the cooking and the packing ourselves because that way we know it's done right. The kitchen is usually full of big steel containers and bags of rice. We don't really do the whole marketing thing. We just tell people where we are near Ramdav Nagar and they find us. It’s a lot of standing around hot stoves and making sure the salt is just right. Sometimes we run out of space because the orders are big, but we manage somehow. We like being in Bodakdev. It feels like home because it is our home. We just keep our heads down and work on the food until it’s time to send it out to the customers.
