Mickey D'S Restaurant

Our place, Mickey D'S Restaurant, is located at number 6 in Tarakkunj Society, which is right near the Vijaynagar railway crossing. If you spend any time here, you will hear the trains passing by quite often. The noise is just something we have gotten used to over the years. Nava Vadaj is a busy part of Ahmedabad and there is always something going on outside our doors. We run this restaurant in a very simple way. We do not have fancy menus or people in uniforms waiting on you. It is just us in the kitchen making food that we like to eat ourselves. The building is a bit old and could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it stays clean and the stove is always going. We get our vegetables from the local market early every morning. Sometimes we run out of certain dishes by the evening because we only buy what we need for the day. It is a bit of a struggle when the monsoon hits because the road near the crossing gets very muddy. People still find their way to us though. We know most of our regular customers by their first names and how they like their tea. We do not have a website or a big marketing plan. We just open the doors and see who shows up. It is an honest living and we enjoy being part of the neighborhood. We have been serving meals here for a long time.
