You can find us at 31, Gandhi Smruti Society, which is right off Sarkej Road in Ahmedabad. We are very close to the Moti Bakery, so we always have the smell of fresh bread and biscuits drifting into the office in the morning. It’s a residential society, so it’s much quieter than being right on the main highway. The office is basically a converted house with a small yard in the front where we park a couple of scooters. The gate squeaks a bit when you open it. Inside, it feels more like a home than a workplace. We have some old wooden desks and chairs that have been with us for years. The walls are covered with some old calendars and a few maps that have started to yellow at the edges. Ahmedabad 55 is our area, and we’ve seen this neighborhood change a lot over the years. The traffic on Sarkej Road has definitely gotten worse, but once you turn into the society, it’s like a different world. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a few of us who have known each other for a long time. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the day’s work in a very informal way. It’s not a high-pressure environment with suits and ties. We just wear what’s comfortable and try to keep everything organized in our own way. It’s a simple life here.
