Mayfair Banquet

We run the banquet hall over at West-End Park, right across from the Gurudwara on S.G. Road. It’s a busy spot especially on weekends when there’s a wedding or a big party. We spend a lot of time moving chairs and setting up tables. The hall is a decent size and we try to keep the floors polished up. Since we’re on S.G. Road, the traffic is always heavy, but it makes us easy to find. We’ve had all sorts of events here, from small family gatherings to bigger celebrations. It takes a lot of work to get the place ready. Sometimes the kitchen is a bit loud and the decorations take all day to put up, but we get it done. We’re just local folks running a venue. We don't have those fancy planners with tablets; we just write things down in a big ledger and make sure the food is ready on time. People like being near the Gurudwara. It’s a landmark for everyone. We’ve seen a lot of happy families come through these doors over the years. We just keep the place open and try to make sure everything works like it should. It’s a lot of cleaning and a lot of late nights, but that’s just the business. We focus on the basics and let the event happen. Most of our staff have been with us for years now and know the drill well.
