Max New York Life Insurance

I’ve been working at Max New York Life Insurance here in Ahmedabad for a while now. It’s a busy spot. Most days are just spent sitting at the desk, looking through papers and talking to folks who walk in off the street. Ahmedabad is a big place, so we see all sorts of people. Some are worried about their families and others just want to know where their money is going. We try to keep things straightforward. There's a lot of talk about numbers and forms, which can get a bit dry, but that is the job. The office isn't anything fancy. It's just a place where we get the work done. Sometimes the tea lady comes around and that is the highlight of the afternoon. We have a small team here and we all know each other pretty well. It's not like those big corporate movies you see. It's more about making sure the files are in order and the phone gets answered. People come in with questions about their policies and we do our best to find the right page in the folder. Life in India is fast, and Ahmedabad is no different. Traffic outside is always loud. But inside, we just keep at it, one person at a time. It’s okay work. It keeps us busy and we feel like we’re helping people sort out their things without too much fuss. We’ve been at this address for a bit now, so the locals know where to find us in India.
