Marfatia Laxmidas Popatlal is a family business that has been around Jamnagar for quite some time. We are situated in the Swagat Complex, specifically at shop or office number 2. The complex is a well-known spot in town, so people usually do not have much trouble finding us. It is a father and son type of operation, and we have been working out of this same space for years. The office is small and filled with old ledgers and stacks of papers that go back a long way. We do not have any modern decorations; we just have what we need to get the daily business done. Most of our morning is spent greeting people who come in or answering the phone. We know most of our regulars by name since Jamnagar is the kind of place where word travels fast. We sit at our wooden desks and handle the accounts and orders. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with the breeze coming in from the street, but we just wipe things down and keep going. We do not use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still done with pen and paper because that is how we have always done it. It is a simple way of working, but it keeps us busy from morning until we close up in the evening. We just focus on being honest and getting the work finished.
