Mahendralal & Sons

Our family has been at A/2 in Nigam Society for a long time. We are right on Smurtimandir Road in the Godasar area. It's a family-run business, Mahendralal and Sons. Most of the time, you’ll find one of us sitting at the main desk handling the accounts or talking to people who drop by. We deal with various goods and supplies, depending on what the season calls for. The office is part of the building where we spend most of our lives. It smells a bit like old paper and incense in the mornings. We aren't into big advertisements or anything like that. We mostly rely on the people who have known us for years. Neighbors stop by to chat even if they don't need to buy anything. We keep the ledger books on the shelf and use a calculator that’s seen better days. The street outside can get quite loud with the traffic going towards the temple. We have a small bench outside where we sit sometimes in the evening when the sun goes down. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We don't have a big team of workers, just family and a couple of helpers who have been with us forever. We take care of the orders as they come in. There is no rush, but we make sure the work gets finished before we close up for the night. It’s just how we’ve always done things here in Godasar.
