Madhuvan Caterers

If you walk around Prabhat Chowk in Ghatlodia, you might have seen us at Madhuvan Caterers. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite some time. It's a busy little corner of the world. Our days usually start before most people are even awake, mostly because there is always something to chop, stir, or clean. We aren't a fancy restaurant with waiters in suits; we are just people who know how to cook for a lot of folks at once. When there’s a big wedding or a small house function nearby, our kitchen gets pretty chaotic. There’s the sound of big metal ladles hitting the sides of pots and the smell of spices that stays in your clothes all day. Sometimes we’re short on hands and everyone has to jump in to help load the vans. Prabhat Chowk is a great place to be because there’s always life happening outside. We don’t spend money on big ads or shiny brochures. Most of our work comes from people who ate our food at a neighbor's party and asked who made it. The floor is usually a bit wet from cleaning, and there are crates stacked up in the corners, but that’s how a real kitchen looks. We just try to get the food out on time and make sure there’s enough for everyone who shows up hungry. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do.
