Lemon Tree Hotel

Our place is the Lemon Tree Hotel, right at 434/1 near the Mithakali Six Cross Roads. Navrangpura is a busy part of Ahmedabad, so there’s always something happening outside our windows. We spend most of our time making sure the rooms are tidy and that folks know where to go when they arrive. It’s a lot of walking back and forth through the hallways. Sometimes the elevators are a bit slow when everyone is checking out at the same time, but we manage. We aren't much for big speeches or fancy descriptions. We just show up every morning, check the logs, and see who is coming or going. The staff here has been around for a bit, so we know the local shops and where the good snacks are. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon makes everyone want to just sit in the shade, but there’s always a list of chores to finish. We keep some water in the lobby for anyone who looks like they’ve been out in the sun too long. It’s a job like any other, really. We see a lot of different faces every week, people from all over. Most of them are just looking for a place to rest their feet for a night or two. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a building on the corner where you can stay and get some sleep before moving on.
