Le Meridien

You can find us over at the Aso Palav Apartments, which is right across from the Cama Hotel in Ahmedabad. It is an interesting spot to be in, right in the middle of a lot of activity. We handle the rooms and the guests who come through this part of the city. It isn't always smooth sailing; sometimes a pipe leaks or a guest arrives earlier than expected, and we just have to scramble to make it work. We aren't one of those places that acts like everything is perfect all the time. We are just a team of people trying to keep a hotel running in a busy Indian city. The weather in Ahmedabad can be brutal, so we spend a lot of time making sure the lobby stays cool for anyone walking in from the street. Our address is K-1, and it’s a place that has seen a lot of travelers over the years. Some people stay for a night and some stay for a week. We see the same morning traffic on the road outside every day. We don't have some big corporate mission statement on the wall. We just want to make sure the beds are made and the lights are on. It is honest work. The building has its quirks, like any older place does, but we know them all by heart now. We stay busy, we talk to the neighbors, and we keep the doors open for whoever needs a room to stay in.
