Kcic(Air India)

Our spot is located in the Vadnagara-Patidar Society in Ahmedabad. It is a bit of an unusual place for something connected to Air India, but that is where we are. Kcic handles various tasks that keep things moving for the airline. The society is a typical residential area with lots of trees and families living close together. You wouldn't think an aviation-related office is tucked away here, but it works for us. The office is basically a few rooms where we keep our files and computers. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking schedules. It’s not a shiny airport terminal; it is just a desk-and-chair kind of setup. The weather in Gujarat can be tough, so the AC is usually running, though it hums quite loudly. We know the neighbors pretty well by now. There is a small shop around the corner where we get our biscuits and tea. Most of the staff has been working together for a long time, so we have our own way of doing things. We don't really go for fancy decorations. The walls are mostly covered in old calendars and some notices. It is a practical space for practical work. When the day ends, we just lock up the gate and head home like everyone else in the society. It’s simple and it works for what we need to do. We are just here doing our bit for the airline.
