Kakiwala Tours & Travels

Our office is in the Kalupur area, inside Kaki Chambers at Timbapole. It is near Panchapatti if you know the area well. Kakiwala Tours & Travels has been around this part of Ahmedabad for a good bit now. Kalupur is always crowded and noisy, but that is just how it is here. We are used to the sound of rickshaws and people talking outside. Our space is pretty basic. We have a few desks and some old maps on the wall that probably need replacing. People come to us when they want to go on a pilgrimage or maybe just visit family in another state. We handle the bookings and try to make sure the dates line up right. It can get a bit chaotic when everyone wants to travel during the holidays. We sit here and drink tea while we look through the different travel options for whoever walks through the door. It is not a high-tech operation. We still write things down in notebooks sometimes because it is easier. The building is an old one, so you have to know where you are going to find us. We don’t spend money on big signs or anything. Word of mouth usually brings people in. We just focus on getting the tickets printed and making sure people know which platform or terminal they need to be at. It's a living and we take it one day at a time. The local tea seller knows our order by heart now.
