Janil Food Catering

Our kitchen is at 717 Patel Vas in the Vavol area, which is near Green City in Ahmedabad. It’s a quiet residential neighborhood, and we’ve been here for quite some time. We run our catering service out of this space, so it feels very much like a local, family operation. We don't have a big office or any fancy equipment. It’s just us using traditional methods to cook for events and parties. The day usually starts very early, often before it even gets light outside. We have to get the fires going and start preparing the ingredients for the day’s orders. There’s a lot of manual labor involved, like grinding spices and peeling vegetables by hand. We aren't trying to be a huge corporation. We just want to make decent food for the people who hire us. Most of our clients are from Vavol or the nearby parts of Ahmedabad. We don't do any big marketing or have a polished website. People usually hear about us from their neighbors or friends. The kitchen is always a bit messy while we’re working, but we make sure everything is clean by the end of the day. It’s a lot of hard work and we are on our feet for hours at a time. Sometimes we get tired, but then we just start on the next order. It’s just our way of life here in Patel Vas.
