Being in Gujarat, we are right in the middle of a lot of trade, which makes sense for what we do. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a regular space in the apartment building where we handle all the textile business. We spend a lot of time on the phone and checking shipments. It gets pretty loud on Judges Banglow Road during peak hours, but inside we just focus on the orders. Managing textiles involves a lot of back and forth, and doing it from Bodakdev has its ups and downs like any other place. Some days are slow and others we can barely keep up with the emails. We’ve been here for a good bit now, and the neighbors in Shyamvihar know us well enough. It’s a lot of checking fabric types and making sure the export papers are right. We don't have a team of hundreds, just a small group of us making sure things move from point A to point B. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to run a decent textile business here in Ahmedabad. It’s a lot of work but it is what we know how to do best.
