Hotel Nalanda

We are located over at 89/1085 in the Uday Appartment complex. It is right near the Naranpura Telephone Exchange. If you know this part of town, you know it is always very busy with traffic and people moving around all day. Our hotel is part of the apartment building there. It is an older structure, but it is still very sturdy. We have got rooms for people who are passing through Ahmedabad for a bit. It is not a luxury place, just a regular spot to stay the night. We spend a lot of our time making sure the beds are made and the bathrooms are scrubbed clean. The staff has been working here for a long time. We know the neighborhood very well. Sometimes the noise coming from the street is a bit much, but it usually dies down once it gets late at night. We do not have a big lobby or any fancy entrance. You just come in and we get you sorted out with a room. It is a very local vibe. Most of our guests are here for work or maybe visiting their family who live nearby. We keep the room keys on a wooden rack behind the front desk. It is all very old-fashioned. We do not use much technology here, just the basic things to keep track of who is staying in which room. It is a steady job for us. Naranpura is a good place to be because everything you need is just a short walk away.
