Hotel Jehan Numa Palace

We are over in Bhopal. It is a city that has its own pace, and we are just right there in the middle of it. Hotel Jehan Numa Palace is the name we go by. It’s an old building, one of those places that has been around for more years than most of us can remember. We don’t have those fancy modern glass walls you see in the new parts of town. Instead, we have thick stone walls and a lot of space that feels like it belongs to another time. Keeping a place like this running takes up all our time. There is always something that needs a bit of paint or a hinge that’s squeaking. We spend our days walking the halls and making sure the grounds are kept up. It is a big property, so it’s easy to get your steps in just by doing the daily rounds. People in Bhopal usually know the palace, so we don't have to give many directions. We see a lot of people coming through, some staying and some just passing by to look at the architecture. The weather here in Bhopal can be a bit unpredictable, but the palace stays cool because of how it was built. We are just a group of people who look after this spot. It’s not about being the best, it’s just about being here and keeping the history alive in our own small way. It’s our daily life.
