Hotel Ambica Empire

If you are walking down Poes Street in Chennai you will eventually find our building at number 14. We have been operating from this spot for a good number of years now. The street outside is usually very busy with people heading to work or visiting the small shops nearby. Once you step inside the hotel it feels a little bit different from the noise and chaos of the city. We have a staff that works in different shifts so there is always someone sitting at the front desk even if it is three in the morning. The rooms we offer are quite basic but we put a lot of effort into keeping them as clean as we can for our guests. The weather in Chennai is almost always very humid so it can be a struggle to get the laundry dry on time. We get many business travelers who just need a simple place to sleep after a long day of meetings in the city. Our lobby area is not very large but we have put out a few chairs where people can sit while they wait for their taxis to arrive. We see all kinds of people coming through these doors from many different parts of India. Sometimes we have to deal with annoying plumbing issues or a guest who has accidentally locked themselves out of their room but that is just part of the job. It’s a lot of repetitive work like changing sheets and refilling the small water bottles in the rooms.
