Maninagar East is where you'll find Hebron School, Ahmedabad. This part of the city has its own character, and we’ve been a part of it for quite a while now. The school is a simple building where we gather every day to teach the local kids. Maninagar is a place where people know their neighbors, and that’s the vibe we have here too. We don’t have a lot of extra money for flashy renovations, so the place looks like a real, lived-in school. The desks have some scratches, and the walls have seen plenty of student projects over the years. Our day starts early, and there’s always a bit of chaos when everyone arrives at once. We try to keep things simple and honest. The teachers here are just regular people who live nearby and want to see the kids do okay in life. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just follow the curriculum and make sure the students are safe and learning. During the break times, the playground gets pretty noisy, which is how it should be. Maninagar East is a busy area, but once you step inside the school, we try to keep things focused. It’s a community effort, really. We’ve had the same staff for a long time, and they know the families in the area. It’s just a neighborhood school doing its bit every day without any fuss.
