Akshar Bhojanalay

Our bhojanalay is right opposite the Ankur Bus Stand in Naranpura, Ahmedabad. We are in the 380013 area code. Being near a bus stand means we see a lot of people in a hurry, so we try to keep our service quick. Akshar Bhojanalay is a small, local spot where the focus is just on the daily meal. We don't have a huge menu with dozens of items. Instead, we cook a few things every day and serve them until they run out. The kitchen is small and we are usually back there stirring big pots of dal or making fresh rotis. It can get pretty hot in there, especially in the afternoons. The dining area has simple benches and tables. It’s the kind of place where you sit down, eat your fill, and then head back to work or catch your bus. We’ve been here in Naranpura for a while and the bus drivers and commuters are our main customers. We don't use any fancy ingredients or have a designer interior. It’s just a plain room with food that tastes like it was made at home. We just focus on doing the work and letting the food be what it is. Some days the salt might be a little different or the rotis a bit more charred, but that's just real cooking. We are just a local family-run eating house.
