Aadhar Temple Of Traditional Taste

Our place is way up on the top floor of Iscon Arcade. That is room 401. We are right in the middle of Navrangpura on C G Road. Most people know the Body Line store nearby, so that is how they find the building. Being on the top floor is a bit of a hike if the elevator is slow, but it gets you away from the noise of C G Road. You can look out the windows and see the tops of the other buildings and all the cars moving below like little toys. We try to keep things traditional here. The name says it all, but we do not try to be fancy about it. It is just the food we know how to make. The kitchen is always busy from morning till late. Ahmedabad can get so hot, but up here we get a bit of a breeze sometimes. We have been in this building for quite a while now. The walls have some marks and the floor is worn down in the spots where people walk the most. It feels like home to us. We see the same faces every week, people who work in the offices around Navrangpura. They come up for lunch and complain about the traffic or the weather. We just listen and keep the plates moving. It is a steady life, just running a kitchen on a roof and watching the city change below us.
