Our office is located up on the fourth floor of the Devbhumi Apartment. If you happen to be driving or walking down Balol Nagar Road in the Ranip area of Ahmedabad, you will see the building fairly easily. It is a bit of a walk up the stairs if the lift is having one of its bad days, which does seem to happen every now and then. We handle all the administrative side of the restaurant business from this location. It is mostly a lot of paperwork, spreadsheets, and endless phone calls to our different spots around the city. We have been working in Ahmedabad for a very long time, so we have a good understanding of what people like to eat here. This office isn't where any of the actual cooking happens. It is just the place where the management and planning get done. We have several desks and a whole lot of filing cabinets for the various branches we look after. It gets quite busy around the middle of the day, even here in the office. Most of us just order some food in or bring a tiffin from home to eat at our desks. The team we have is small, but most of us have been working together for a bunch of years now. Ranip is a decent area to work in because it is a little bit away from the main chaos of the city center. We like it here. There is a huge amount of planning that goes into keeping the restaurants running smoothly every day. We check on the food supplies and talk to the managers. Sometimes there are issues with a delivery truck, and we have to sort it all out from these desks. It is just regular daily office work, nothing too fancy or polished. We have calendars all over the walls to keep track of everything.
