You can find us over in Nakoda Society, which is tucked away near the Chand Kheda Railway Station in Ahmedabad. Being so close to the tracks means we hear the trains passing by pretty often, which just becomes part of the background noise after a while. The area around Jagatpur is always changing, but we have stayed right here at plot B/29. It is a hot part of Gujarat, so we spend a lot of our time making sure the fans and cooling systems are actually doing their job for the people staying with us. The lobby isn't anything like those massive hotels you see in movies, but it is clean and the staff knows how to handle the daily rush. We see a lot of people coming in from the station, looking a bit tired from their travels. Dealing with laundry, checking people in, and making sure the kitchen has enough supplies for breakfast takes up most of our hours. It is hard work, and sometimes the plumbing gives us a headache or the electricity flickers when the monsoon clouds roll in. We just keep things moving along as best we can. The neighborhood is mostly quiet residential stuff, so we try not to make too much noise ourselves. It is a straightforward business, run by people who live right around here and understand the local pace of things.
