For Groundstaff

We operate out of a bungalow at A1-65 in the Arunoday Bunglows complex. It’s located right behind the Chamunda Temple on Zadeshwer Road in Bharuch. Being so close to the temple means we can hear the bells ringing throughout the day, which is something you just get used to after a while. The office is basically a converted front room of the house. We have some chairs set up for people who come in for interviews or training sessions. We spend a lot of time talking to young people who want to work at the airport as ground staff. We go over how to handle bags and how to talk to passengers. It’s a lot of explaining the same things over and over, but it’s important work. The room can get a bit warm in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open to catch any breeze from the road. We have a small whiteboard where we write down the dates for the next sessions. There isn't much in the way of decoration, just a few posters on the walls about safety and procedures. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when there’s a break in the schedule. The area is quite busy with people going to the temple, so there’s always something to look at out the window. We just keep things simple and try to help everyone who comes through our door looking for a job in the industry.
