Fire Fitter

We work out of B Block in the Burhani Appartment over in the Badri Mohalla area. This is in Thakkar Faliya, which is a well-known part of Dahod here in Gujarat. Our postcode is 389151 if you are sending something over. The work we do involves fire fitting, which mostly means we are out at different sites installing pipes and safety gear. It's dusty work and often involves a lot of heavy lifting and climbing around. When we aren't out at a job, we are back at the apartment block sorting out our tools and making sure we have enough supplies for the next day. Dahod is a place where you have to know people to get things done, and we’ve lived here a long time. The neighborhood is tight and everyone knows who is working on what. We don't have a big showroom or anything like that because most of our work happens at the customer's place. We just focus on getting the fittings tight and making sure everything is where it should be according to the plans. Sometimes the materials are late or the weather doesn't help, but we just keep at it. It’s a trade we learned and we just stick to what we know. Being in Badri Mohalla makes it easy to get around town. It’s not a glamorous life but it’s honest work and it keeps us busy throughout the year. We handle the wrenches and the pipes while the city goes on around us.
