Our office is tucked away in Shivanand Apartment over in Ghatlodiya. It’s on K.K. Nagar Road, right behind the Mandakini Society. If you know the Varahi Farm House, then you are basically there. It is not a big corporate office with a sign you can see from a mile away. We are just in E-33. It feels more like a home than an office sometimes because of the building. We handle travel stuff, so the phones are always buzzing with people asking about flights or hotels. Ahmedabad gets really hot, so we are thankful for the windows that let in a bit of a breeze in the mornings. There are files piled up on the desks and a lot of maps pinned to the walls. It’s a bit messy but we know where everything is. The neighbors in the apartment are mostly families, so it stays pretty quiet in the hallways. We spend a lot of our time looking at screens and trying to find the best routes for people. Sometimes it’s stressful when a flight gets canceled and we have to fix it fast. We don’t have a big fancy cafeteria, just a small kettle for tea and some biscuits we keep in the drawer. It's a simple setup but it works for us. Most of us live nearby so the commute isn't too bad, which is a plus.
