Our office is up on the second floor of Panchani Chambers, right across from Asia School on Drive-In Road. If you know the Thaltej area, you know how busy it gets around here, especially when school lets out. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of phones ringing and keyboards clacking away. We have maps pinned to the walls that are probably a bit outdated now, but they remind us where people are heading. It’s not a huge space, but we manage to fit everyone in. Usually, there are stacks of brochures on the desks and notes scribbled on pads about flight times or hotel bookings. We don’t really do anything fancy; we just sit here and try to figure out the best routes for whoever walks through the door. Sometimes the printer jams right when we need a ticket, and someone has to give it a good kick to get it going again. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep, so we usually just stay put once we get in for the morning. We drink way too much coffee while looking at screens all day. It’s a bit messy with all the paperwork, but we know where everything is. People come in asking about holidays or work trips, and we just look things up and give them the details straight.
