Our place is Shop 20 on the ground floor of Shukan Residency. We’re right there on New SG Road in the Gota area. It’s a dhaba-style setup, so things are pretty casual. We have tables and chairs that don't always match, but they do the job. The kitchen is always busy with the smell of tadka and fresh rotis. We get a lot of people coming in from the main road, especially drivers and families looking for something quick and filling. It’s noisy and sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty from the wind outside, but we sweep it when we can. We don't have a big fancy menu with pictures. We just tell people what we’ve got cooking for the day. The burners are always going, and the heat can get pretty intense during the lunch rush. We aren't some polished restaurant with soft music. It’s loud, it’s busy, and we’re usually sweating. We’ve been here in Gota for a bit and have a few regulars who come in every day. We just try to get the food out hot and fresh. Sometimes we run out of things if it’s a particularly busy afternoon. That’s just life at a local dhaba. We keep things simple and honest. There isn't any secret to it, just keeping the stove hot and the dough ready for the next person who walks in.
