Deccan

Deccan is located over in Namrup, specifically within the Assam Petro Chemicals area. We share space with Mr. N Sonowal, so it’s a bit of a specific arrangement. Namrup is way out in the Dibrugarh district, and it’s very different from the big cities. Everything is very green around here, and the air is thick when it rains, which happens a lot. Our work is tied to the industrial side of things because of where we are. It’s a quiet place most of the time, except for the sounds from the plant. The office isn't anything special—just a room with what we need to stay organized. We deal with people who are usually here for the petro-chemical work, so the conversations are mostly technical or about logistics. It can feel a bit isolated being so far from the main towns, but we have a good group of people here. Mr. Sonowal handles a lot of the local coordination. We don’t have much in the way of amenities, just the basics. Most days involve a lot of checking lists and making sure the supplies or the people are where they should be. It’s a steady pace of life. We don’t try to make it sound like more than it is. It’s just an office in a small industrial town in Assam where we do our part to keep things moving along.
