Data Entry Work

We sit here in Ghodasar, right near the Jay Mala bus stand. It's a small place in Chandrika Park Society, unit A/4. Most days it’s just us typing away on keyboards and checking spreadsheets. We’ve been at this for a while now. Some people think it's boring, but it keeps us busy. The fans hum in the background and someone usually has tea going. It gets dusty outside because of the traffic near the bus stop, so we keep the windows shut mostly. We handle all sorts of lists and numbers. It's just clerical stuff, really. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out. It’s not fancy. There are four desks and a lot of wires. We try to get through the files as they come in. If you walk past the society gate, you'll see our sign. It's nothing special to look at. Just a room with computers where we do what we're told with the data provided. My nephew helps out sometimes when the workload gets heavy. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It's just a local spot in Ahmedabad where the work gets done quietly. Most of our neighbors know us. We start early and stay until the evening logs are finished. It’s honest work and it pays the bills. That’s pretty much the whole story of what happens here at A/4. We don't have any big plans to move or change things, we just keep typing.
