Our office for Creative Tours & Travels is located in a very old and traditional part of Ahmedabad. We are right opposite the Balaji Temple in Astodia Chakla. If you know the area, you know Dhal’s Pole is just there. It is one of those places where the streets are narrow and full of history. Working here is different from being in the newer parts of the city. You can hear the temple bells and the sounds of the local market all day long. We have been operating from this spot for quite a while now. The building is old, like most things in this part of Ahmedabad, but it has character. We spend our days helping people figure out their travel routes and booking tickets. It’s a lot of computer work and talking to people who drop by after visiting the temple. The atmosphere is very relaxed. We don't wear uniforms or anything like that. Sometimes the tea seller comes by and we take a break. Navigating the lanes around Dhal's Pole can be tricky for newcomers, but for us, it is just home. We aren't trying to be the biggest agency in India; we just want to do a good job for the folks who come to see us. It gets quite crowded during festivals, which makes getting to the office a bit of an adventure, but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else because the people here are so kind.
