Cinemax

So, this is about Cinemax. We are based over at Vakil'S Chawl, specifically 15/16, which is right opposite Usha Cinema. If you know the Gaumtipur area in Ahmedabad, you know it’s a real old-school neighborhood. It’s got a lot of character and it can be quite cramped sometimes. Being near the cinema means there’s always a crowd around, especially when a big movie is playing. Our space is pretty basic. It’s not one of those shiny new offices you see in the mall. It’s more of a ground-level, practical kind of place. We’ve got the old walls and the narrow lanes. Sometimes it’s hard for big cars to get through, so most of us just walk or take a scooter. We spend our days handling whatever comes up. It’s a lot of talking to locals and managing the daily grind. We don’t really use big words or have fancy meetings. It’s more like, sit down, have some chai, and figure out the schedule. The Chawl has been here forever, and we feel like a part of the bricks and mortar at this point. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open, and you can hear the sounds of the street constantly. It’s just how it is. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just staying busy and keeping the doors open for business in this part of town.
