Cambay Resorts

We are located at 16, K.J. Hostel, right opposite the Navrangpura Bus Stand in the Navrangpura area. Cambay Resorts is the name, and we’ve been at this spot for quite a while. Being right across from the bus stand means it’s always busy outside. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. Our place is a bit of a getaway from all that noise once you step inside. We have a lot of rooms to look after and the pool takes a lot of cleaning, especially in the summer. It’s not like those luxury places you see in magazines, but it’s comfortable and the AC works well. We have a small staff and we all do a bit of everything. One day I might be at the desk, and the next I’m helping with the towels. We don't have any scripted greetings for when people walk in. We just say hello and see what they need. The building has some character and a few quirks, like the elevator that takes a second to start. People like staying here because it’s convenient for the buses and the local shops. We don't spend money on big ads. We just keep the place tidy and wait for the next person to check in. It’s a steady rhythm and we’ve gotten used to the pace of life here in Ahmedabad. We just want people to have a decent night's sleep.
