Our office is situated at number 44 in the Devasaya Complex, right in Bopal. Bopal has changed so much since we first started here; there are so many more buildings and shops now than there used to be. The complex itself is always buzzing with people going to the different shops and offices. We spend our days mostly at our desks, dealing with insurance papers and talking to people about their policies. It’s a lot of sitting and typing, to be honest. We have a small water cooler in the corner where we all gather to complain about the traffic on the way in. The office isn't very big, so we have to stay organized or the files will just take over everything. Sometimes a client comes in upset about a claim, and we just sit down and try to walk them through the paperwork. It’s not like the commercials you see on TV; it’s just a lot of reading fine print and filling out forms. We have a couple of plants by the window that we usually forget to water, but they somehow stay alive. In the evenings, the sun hits the glass front of the complex, and it gets quite warm inside. We finish up the last of the emails, lock the cabinets, and head out like everyone else. It’s a steady job in a busy part of Gujarat. We just try to keep the desk clear for the next day.
