Bawarchee Restaurant

Our kitchen is located at B/7/2 Devas Appt, right opposite the Jivrajpark Police Choki in Guptanagar, Vasna. If you are in Ahmedabad and heading toward the police station, you can't miss us. It is a busy little corner of the city. We have been cooking here for a while. It’s not a big fancy dining hall or anything like that. It’s more of a practical place where we get the food ready. The smell of spices is always in the air around the apartment block. Sometimes the traffic by the police choki gets really backed up and it makes deliveries a bit of a headache. We just do our best to keep things moving. The staff is mostly local guys who know the Vasna area like the back of their hand. We don’t really do all that marketing talk. We just focus on the pots and pans. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the floor gets a bit greasy by the end of the shift, but that is a kitchen for you. We see a lot of the same faces every day. People stop by on their way home from work. It is a noisy, busy, and hot place to work, but we are used to it by now. We just keep the stove going and try to make sure everything tastes right before it goes out the door. That is what Bawarchee Restaurant is about.
