Express Travels

Express Travels has an office in Jivabhai Chambers on Ashram Road, right across from the Bata Showroom. Being on Ashram Road means we are in one of the busiest parts of the city. There are always people rushing past our windows and the sound of the traffic never really stops. Inside, we have a couple of desks, some old maps on the walls, and computers that are always running. We spend our days booking bus tickets, trains, and sometimes planning out longer trips for people who aren't sure where to go. The phone rings a lot, usually with someone asking about departure times or if a flight is on schedule. It can get pretty stressful when there is a holiday coming up and everyone wants to travel at the same time. We have a small waiting area with a few chairs, but it often gets filled up with people’s bags. Our staff is used to the chaos of last-minute bookings. Sometimes the internet goes slow right when we are trying to confirm a ticket, which is frustrating for us and the customer. We have been in Jivabhai Chambers for a long time, so the local shopkeepers all know us. We don't have fancy brochures for everything; we mostly just talk to people and figure out what they need. It is a fast-paced environment, but we try to keep track of all the details so nobody gets stranded anywhere.
