Our office is tucked away at Lalluravjis Vando, right opposite where the old Jansatta Press used to be in Mirzapur. It’s an older part of Ahmedabad and the streets around here are always full of life and noise, which we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We spend our days dealing with all sorts of travel papers, mostly tickets and visa stuff that keeps us pretty busy from morning until evening. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you aren’t familiar with the area, but once you find us, it’s just a straightforward office setup. We have a few desks pushed together and there’s always a stack of passports or forms waiting to be looked at. The staff here are mostly local folks who have been working in travel for a long time, so we don't need a lot of instructions to know what needs doing. It can get a bit dusty with all the old files, but we keep things moving as fast as we can. Lunch breaks are usually quick, maybe some food from one of the stalls nearby, then it’s back to the phones. We don't really have a big fancy lobby or anything like that, just a place where the work happens. It’s a lot of repetitive tasks, checking dates and names, but it’s what we do. We like the atmosphere of Mirzapur, even if it gets a bit crowded sometimes during the day.
