Chetan Kumar Jain Restaurant

Located at 110, Jaipur House in the Jaipur House Market area of Agra. We are right across from the Commercial Tax Office. That means we get a lot of people who work in the offices coming in for their break. The market is always moving, with scooters and people everywhere. Our shop isn't very big. We have a few tables squeezed in. The walls are a light color, and we’ve got some shelves for supplies. We spend a lot of time in the morning getting the dough ready and chopping vegetables. It’s a routine we’ve had for years. The Tax Office is a big building, so it’s a good landmark for people trying to find us. We don’t do any advertising; people just walk in because they’re nearby. Sometimes it gets really hot in the afternoon, so we keep the fans on high. The noise from the market outside is constant. You hear people bargaining and horns honking all day. We just focus on what’s on the stove. It’s a simple life running a restaurant in Agra. We see a lot of the same people every day. We know who wants what without them even asking sometimes. It’s just a regular market shop. We clean up at night and do it all again tomorrow. The work is hard but it is what we know.
