Jb Art Studio

Jb Art Studio is tucked away in Phase-1 of the Naraina Industrial Area. If you know the area, you know it can get pretty crowded with all the traffic and small shops. Our space is at A-30/1. It’s where we spend most of our time, surrounded by paint, frames, and whatever projects we have going on that week. It’s a bit of a messy place, to be honest, but that’s how art goes. We’ve been in this spot for several years and the walls are covered in bits of old projects. We don't have a big front desk or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers it. The light in the studio is okay during the morning, which helps with the fine details. We work on all sorts of things, from small sketches to bigger pieces that take up the whole floor. It gets dusty because of the industrial setting, so we are always cleaning off the surfaces. Our neighbors are mostly into manufacturing, so we’re a bit different from the other businesses on the block. We drink a lot of coffee and stay late when a deadline is coming up. Sometimes the AC struggles in the Delhi heat, but we make do with fans. It’s a practical workspace for people who like to get their hands dirty. We just try to finish each piece better than the last one without making a huge fuss about things.
